【摘要】:Themagnitudeofthehydroperoxidenumberisanindicationofthequantityofoxidizingconstituentspresent.Deteriorationofthefuelsresultsintheformationofhydroperoxidesandotheroxygen-carryingcompounds.Thehydroperoxidenumbermeasuresthosecompoundsthatwilloxidizepotassiumiodide.Thedeterminationofthehydroperoxidenumberofaviationturbinefuels,gasolineanddieselissignificantbecauseoftheadverseeffectofhydroperoxideuponcertainelastomersinthefuelsystems.5.3ThedeterminationofhydroperoxidenumberofgasolineissignificantbecausehydroperoxideshavebeendemonstratedtodecreasebothResearchandMotorOctaneNumbers.Inaddition,hydroperoxideshaveadverseeffectsoncertainfuelsystemcomponents.5.4ThedeterminationofhydroperoxidenumberofdieselfuelissignificantbecausehydroperoxideshavebeendemonstratedtoincreasetheCetaneNumber.Inaddition,hydroperoxideshaveadverseeffectsoncertainfuelsystemcomponents.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthehydroperoxidecontentexpressedashydroperoxidenumberofaviationturbine,gasolineanddieselfuels.1.2Therangeofhydroperoxidenumberincludedintheprecisionstatementis0to50mg/kgactiveoxygenashydroperoxide.1.3Theinterlaboratorystudytoestablishtheprecisionofthistestmethodconsistedofspark-ignitionenginefuels(regular,premiumandCaliforniaCleaner-Burninggasoline),aviationgasoline,jetfuel,ultralowsulfurdiesel,andbiodiesel.However,biodieselwasnotincludedintheprecisioncalculationbecauseofthelargedifferencesinresultswithinlabsandbetweenlabs.1.4Thistestmethoddetectshydroperoxidessuchast-butylhydroperoxideandcumenehydroperoxide.Itdoesnotdetectsterically-hinderedhydroperoxidessuchasdicumylanddi-t-butylhydroperoxides1.5Di-alkylhydroperoxidesaddedcommerciallytodieselfuelsarenotdetectedbythistestmethod.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoconsultandestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,see7.3,7.6,9.2,andAnnexA1.
