【摘要】:Theexpansionindex,EI,providesanindicationofswellingpotentialofacompactedsoil.TheEItestisnotusedtoduplicateanyparticularfieldconditionssuchassoildensity,watercontent,loading,in-placesoilstructure,orsoilwaterchemistry.However,consistenttestconditionsareusedinpreparationofcompactedspecimenssuchthatdirectcorrelationofdatacanbemadebetweenorganizations.Note18212;QualitativeclassificationofpotentialexpansioninasoilbasedonEIisprovidedinTable1.Note28212;Notwithstandingthestatementsonprecisionandbiascontainedinthistestmethod:Theprecisionofthistestmethodisdependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingitandthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgencieswhichmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetenttesting.UsersofthistestmethodarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3740doesnotensurereliabletesting.Reliabletestingdependsonseveralfactors;PracticeD3740providesameansofevaluatingsomeofthosefactors.TABLE1ClassificationofPotentialExpansionofSoilsUsingEIExpansionIndex,EI

【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardistobeusedtogetherwithPart1andseriesofPart3andassuchtheyspecifygeneralconditions,requirementsandmethodstopreventhazardsofcranesbydesignandtheoreticalverification.NOTESpecificrequirementsforparticulartypesofcranearegivenintheappropriateEuropeanStandardfortheparticularcranetype.Thefollowingisalistofsignificanthazardoussituationsandhazardouseventsthatcouldresultinriskstopersonsduringnormaluseandforeseeablemisuse.Clause4isnecessarytoreduceoreliminatetherisksassociatedwiththefollowinghazards:a)rigidbodyinstabilityofthecraneoritsparts(tiltingandshifting);b)exceedingthelimitsofstrength(yield,ultimate,fatigue);c)elasticinstabilityofthecraneoritsparts(buckling,bulging);d)exceedingtemperaturelimitsofmaterialorcomponents;e)exceedingthedeformationlimits.ThisEuropeanStandardisapplicabletocraneswhicharemanufacturedafterthedateofapprovalbyCENofthisstandardandservesasreferencebasefortheEuropeanStandardsforparticularcranetypes.
