【摘要】:Thistestmethoddevelopsameasurementofgrindingorpulverizingcharacteristicsthatcanbeusedtoevaluatetheyield,orenergyinput,orboth,requiredinagrindingorpulverizingprocess,whichcanimpactawidevarietyofprocesses,includingcombustion,coke-making,liquefaction,andgasification.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftherelativegrindabilityoreaseofpulverizationofcoalsincomparisonwithcoalschosenasstandards.Apreparedandsizedsamplereceivesadefiniteamountofgrindingenergyinaminiaturepulverizer,andthesizeconsistofthepulverizedproductisdeterminedbysieving.Theresultantsizeconsistisusedtoproduceanindexrelativetotheeaseofgrinding[HardgroveGrindabilityIndex(HGI)].1.1.1Somecoals,suchassomehigh-volatilebituminous,subbituminous,andlignitecoals,canundergophysicalchangeasthenaturalorseammoistureisreleasedduringhandlingandpreparation.Thischangeisoftensufficienttoalterthegrindabilitycharacteristicsthatwillbereportedwhentestedinthelaboratoryandcouldproducedifferentindicesdependentontheconditionsofdryingandthemoisturelevelofthe1.18x00D7;0.60mm(No.16x00D7;30)(seeTestMethodD4749)materialsusedforthetest.Therefore,therepeatabilityandreproducibilitycitedinthistestmethodmaynotapplyforthesehigh-volatilebituminous,subbituminous,andlignitecoals.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
